Magical Nights Above South Tyrol – A Journey Through the Universe with Guido, Our Amateur Astronomer

Imagine absolute silence, crisp winter air, untouched nature – and above you, a sky so full of stars it feels as though it belongs to you alone.

Our mountain retreat is nestled at 1,600 metres above sea level in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, far from light pollution, surrounded by the darkness of the mountains, where the stars seem to shine brighter than anywhere else.

In January 2027, we invite you to experience a truly special week dedicated to the stars. The winter night sky reveals brilliant stars, striking constellations and a beautiful Milky Way. The giant planet Jupiter shines high above the horizon. A spectacular experience for stargazers and anyone who loves looking up at the night sky.

Every evening, weather permitting, Guido will guide you through the magical night sky above Lüsen.

Together, we will discover the constellations of the winter sky, explore the Moon's cratered landscapes through a telescope, observe the giant planet Jupiter, and gaze at star clusters, nebulae and distant galaxies.

Guido will not only show you where the stars are, but also explain why they appear where they do – and share the fascinating stories and myths that have surrounded them for centuries.

On clear days, there may even be an opportunity to safely observe the Sun, including its sunspots and solar activity, using specialised equipment.

Even when clouds cover the night sky, our journey through the universe continues.

In our cosy rooms, gathered around the warmth of the fireplace, fascinating talks and conversations await:
